Jayan has been privately owned by one family for 16 years and during that time it has been extensively and lovingly renovated to the highest standards.

Jayan is located down a small private road and nestles in the beautiful Montagnac-sur-Lède valley with stunning 360 degree views. Totally secluded yet only 7km from Monflanquin an award winning 12th Century hillside Market Town where you have all the amenities you could want – Hypermarket, Restaurants, Bakeries, Chemist, Doctors, Dentist, Vet, not to mention the Thursday market.

As you can see from the guest comments Jayan is a "home" and not just a "rental property" and has been equipped, looked after, and cared for accordingly. From the kitchen, where any gourmand cook would be happy with gas hob, electric oven, microwave/grill, fridge/freezer and dishwasher together with top of the range cutlery, crockery, knives and crystal, to the 42" plasma flat screen TV, pause/record satellite (no need to miss your favourite UK TV programme), Blue Ray DVD, Bose i-pod wave sound system and Wi-Fi internet (satellite) – décor is French/English, comfortable, easy living.

In the Reading Room off the main Living/Dining area there are over 500 VHS/DVDs from 40's/50's classics to today's blockbusters including a comprehensive library including teenagers' and toddlers' books. Also, all our bedrooms are en-suite with a separate toilet / shower room on the ground floor.

Everything you need is here from herbs, oils, kitchen rolls to dishwasher tablets so all you need to do now is bring yourself and then let Jayan work its magic.

Jayan is situated on the borders of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne just 40 minutes drive from Bergerac Airport and only a very short drive away from some of the most picturesque ancient Market Towns in South West France, Monflanquin, Villereal, Issigeac, Monpazier, Pujols, Eymet, (too many to mention) all offering fresh baked bread, local produce, cheese, wine, froie gras, pate, reflecting the taste & personality of France.

However if you want to visit a jaw dropping châteaux you have Biron, de Bonaguil, Beynac, Monbazillac, to name but a few. The area also boasts some of the most fabulous cities in Europe, Bordeaux, Carcassonne, Toulouse, and most are no more than a 2hr drive away. So, if you're looking for world class dining, world class shopping, sprinkled with some world class culture and history you're in the right area.

If on the other hand you fancy a day trip to the beach then Mimizan plage or St Jean de Luz, where you can watch the local fishing boats bring in the days catch of tuna & anchovies or Biarritz for some of the best tapas on the Atlantic coast are again just 2hrs drive away.

Or if it's Canoeing, Theme Parks, the Wine Route, Horseback Riding, Tennis, or just lazing by the pool – whatever takes your fancy Jayan is a great place to start.
